Happy New Year 2025!
Our 13-year-old Initiator, Alia Kong, visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was incredibly honored to meet Dr. Heidi Alaudeen Alaskary. Dr. Alaskary's work promoting disability inclusion resonates with the Superbund Alpha Project's mission to strengthen humanity.
As CEO of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, Dr. Alaskary led the Saudi team to a record-breaking 40 medals. She hosted the G20 Saudi Arabia summit, transitioning it to a virtual platform during the pandemic. Dr. Alaskary also oversaw the transition of online platforms for Saudi schools, ensuring education continuity.
The Superbund Alpha Project leverages AI, metaverse, and spatial computing to connect people worldwide. It aims to create immersive learning experiences, bridging cultural knowledge between Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and China...etc. By transitioning the exchange program to a virtual platform, geographical boundaries are eliminated.
Dr. Alaskary emphasizes simplicity in technology for individuals with disabilities. "The main problem disabled children face is human-to-human interaction. Physically disabled children benefit from technology, but mentally disabled kids need simplicity."
This project promotes cross-cultural understanding, dispelling misconceptions about Muslims and Arabs. Dr. Alaskary notes, "Saudi Arabia hasn't been talking much to international communities... Many misconceptions are found in movies depicting Saudi Arabians as people related to trouble."
Alia Kong hopes to collaborate with the Misk Foundation and Saudi Education Ministry. Dr. Alaskary's expertise would be invaluable. By harnessing technology, the Superbund Alpha Project and Dr. Alaskary's work shares a common goal: fostering global understanding, empathy, and connection.
