Superbund@HKBUAS introducing Virtual Cultural Exchange at Thanksgiving week.

Welcome back to our exciting journey into the world of Superbund! Last time, we introduced this AI and metaverse Technology project to promote Humanity and spread positivity on WE-day showcasing the TedxTinHauWomen metaspace, completed with three mini-games that sparked creativity and engagement, to find your identity, gain knowledge to invent at new heights, and build your own worlds.

Today, I want to take you to experience a new level of experience, Spatial Computing.  As it is our thanksgiving week, I am very grateful to have support from Mr Tony and Ms Bonita to teach us how to use the Apple Vision Pro.

Each headset needs to be calibrated for different users, so it is a delicate device and is not like any kind of VR Glasses, it has a computer embedded to the headset, which we’ll dive into immersive experiences that showcase the beauty of cultural exchange and appreciation in our everyday lives.

Let’s embark the journey with four video clips:

1, A greeting from all heroes, making a better world together

2, A connection between different worlds and cultures

3, A cross-cultural fashion showcase

4, Camels!!!

Q&A Session: Pay attention to the videos to win prizes!

Don’t forget to like and follow our IG, FB, YT and more for more events and get special treats~!

Let’s get started and make this Thanksgiving Week unforgettable!

Happy New Year 2025!

Our 13-year-old Initiator, Alia Kong, visited Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was incredibly honored to meet Dr. Heidi Alaudeen Alaskary. Dr. Alaskary's work promoting disability inclusion resonates with the Superbund Alpha Project's mission to strengthen humanity.

As CEO of Special Olympics Saudi Arabia, Dr. Alaskary led the Saudi team to a record-breaking 40 medals. She hosted the G20 Saudi Arabia summit, transitioning it to a virtual platform during the pandemic. Dr. Alaskary also oversaw the transition of online platforms for Saudi schools, ensuring education continuity.

The Superbund Alpha Project leverages AI, metaverse, and spatial computing to connect people worldwide. It aims to create immersive learning experiences, bridging cultural knowledge between Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and China...etc. By transitioning the exchange program to a virtual platform, geographical boundaries are eliminated.

Dr. Alaskary emphasizes simplicity in technology for individuals with disabilities. "The main problem disabled children face is human-to-human interaction. Physically disabled children benefit from technology, but mentally disabled kids need simplicity."

This project promotes cross-cultural understanding, dispelling misconceptions about Muslims and Arabs. Dr. Alaskary notes, "Saudi Arabia hasn't been talking much to international communities... Many misconceptions are found in movies depicting Saudi Arabians as people related to trouble."

Alia Kong hopes to collaborate with the Misk Foundation and Saudi Education Ministry. Dr. Alaskary's expertise would be invaluable. By harnessing technology, the Superbund Alpha Project and Dr. Alaskary's work shares a common goal: fostering global understanding, empathy, and connection.

Coding, often considered the exclusive language of computing, the bridge for humans to cross to communicate with the softwares.  I, the initiator of Kids Power Society and Creator of Superbund, and our Manager, Alvin, has been given the opportunity to attend a two-day workshop hosted by the IOS Club by Apple to learn about XCode, Unity and the amazing spatial computing functions of Apple Vision Pro.

During our workshops, we began to “Think Differently” in how we can use the apps.  When coding in XCode, we were taught to edit the code AI generated for us, which made us think about the development still needed for AI to perfect it’s responses, or perhaps the prompting of our requests. When operating Unity to create a simple ball game, we learned that game-programming is actually more related to reality and science than we think as played around with the gravity of the ball and the movement.

Besides all the technical aspects and activities, we were thrilled to try out and familiarize ourselves with the interior designs to immense coding applications that built the very software of the technology product introduced by a team of friendly and intelligent programmers, developers and designers, and try out spatial computing with apps within the Apple Vision Pro, my personal favorite being the Marvel What If…game to 3D making in a AR environment.

This experience was not only intellectually stimulating but also profoundly enriching and unforgettable.

Meeting in Hong Kong Telecom,  Recap by Ryder Chow,  edited by Alia Kong

"Aiming to be ethically, socially and environmentally responsible of telecommunications", Alia and I had the great opportunity of meeting Hong Kong Telecom’s directors.

During our meeting, we presented our project, providing a decentralized open-sourced platform for connections to be made through worlds, embracing technology to stregthen bonds, and walked through our first ever public metaspace for TedxTinHau Women 2024 Event and three empowering mini games - Find Yourself, Enrich your knowledge & Build your own world.

Our project is nothing short of creativity and futuristic technology, but we want to make it more relatable by inviting top directors to be our business advisors to understand the connections between people in a new perspective ; And what’s better than a literal telecom company with technology designed to bring people together by spreading messages from all over the world, making people feel that they are truly united and strengthen bonds on a ≈510.1million sq.km globe, motivating me, as the Game-developer, to create more games, to move towards the mission of our project on Strengthening Humanity with the embrace of Technology.

Tencent visit Recap by Ryder Chow and edited by Alia Kong

On December 4th, the team and I visited a renowned tech company called Tencent.  Their evolution through the years and application of technology has really enlightened me on how to build, what any fandom for game companies want, a stage for Cosplay with Esports-tech integration.

Our project aims to allow people to create their own OCs as 3D Modelled Avatars, integrating a better version or Second identity, into Gameplay.  Not only does cosplay help them get into character, it motivates them to be the better and bigger person, accepting others around them for who they are and strengthen bonds.

As the game developer of the project, I believe cosplay is a form of expression that brings out the “ideal self” in a person when they cosplay a character, thus we’ve been finding many Tech Gaming Companies for collaboration on our Superbund Alpha Project.
