Welcome our guests to join the trip. We were longing for this trip for long time!
Alia and 50 A-School students went to visit the two world leading drone and AI driven Air Taxi companies. The students are aiming to create and learn futuristic technology at new heights, trying to create invisibility technology.
At DJI, we witnessed drones of all sizes. Some were portable and light, some were large for doing drone performances and some were like heli-carriers to transport items.
At Ehang, the ‘air taxi’ are in production for domestic travel and for medial aid . Many students took pictures with different models of the ‘air taxi’, and sat at the pilot seat to feel the space. It only has a panel and the driving pad.
Some of the students said, “I can’t believe there are no switches here, there’s just a tablet to control the air taxi!”
We exchanged gifts with Ehang. We gave them two of our Sci-Fi story books, ‘Supernova Pandemic’ and ‘Calling Positive Energy Superheroes” and let them know we were creating invisibility technology, bringing our ideas to life. And Ehang gave us a limited edition figure of their first ‘Air Taxi’. They said it is a valuable gift that they usually only give to government officials! We were so honor!
At the end of the tour, Alia and Angel Xie, did a live performance to bring out a preview of the next project - the Green Lips through music and animations.
And to honor the first 9 students who submitted their last assignment before the deadline, Alia, our Society Content Builder, awarded Alvin Siu, the first who submitted his work with a limited edition Pilot pin and pencils with Stanford University’s logo for the rest of the 8 students.
The bus trips were not a bore. In the morning, our Spokesperson and the leader of the Ghost Pod project, Ryder, had a zoom meeting with the students on the bus. Our Physicist, Mr Kelvin Lee commented on the student’s works and gave them some pointers on the assignment. And Alia shared her idea of the metaverse that she intends to build. The road trip was filled with brainstormings and discussions about the students’ experiences and ideas. Even though traveling time is more than 6 hours long for two places, we have learnt a lot about today’s A.I. and drone technology.
