Ryder Chow , our spokesperson, did a community table event in Richmond Library - Ironwood Branch last Sunday. He and his little sister Elyse, one of our youngest members, shared the values of Kids Power Society and our new project - Ghost Pod Design Collaboration to their community.
Let's hear from Ryder, how he did last Sunday! woof woof!
"My experience in the Ironwood Richmond Library was an interesting and pleasant one.
Secondly, I wanted to recruit new members for the Ghost Pod Design Collaboration project. When I first arrived at the library, I was nervous to talk to people about Kids Power Society. However, I slowly started to open up, and I quickly started to be more confident about what I was doing. And by near the end, I had gotten a few people to come to the booth and interest them in it. I showed them the booth and shared how Kids Power Society was formed and what we have accomplished.
To me, there are some memorable parts of the day. I felt incredibly surprised to see that my teacher and my best friends came out of the way to support me. Another great part was that my little sister, Elyse, kept encouraging other kids to draw superheroes on our drawing sheets. Also, I am extremely thankful that the library allowed us set up a table to promote Kids Power Society.
And overall, I had a wonderful experience at the library because it allowed me to share my dream with the public and make new friends."
