World Book Day

“April 23 is World Book Day, celebrated by UNESCO every year. Books are our best friends, guiders, and philosophers.  It is a symbolic date for world literature because on this date in 1616 that Cervantes, Shakespeare, and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died.”

Our Spokeslady, Alia, was invited to have a live interview on a Chinese school channel.   She shared her passion in creativity, writing, drawing and making experiments.  Her ideas of original and authentic creations are well expressed.  “It is never about making things real,  it is all about making a difference , special , the ONE.”  She spoke Chinese throughout the whole interview.  Her Chinese improves alot!  She also emphasized on keep dreaming.  Without dreams,  the world is left with nothing except all the old ideas.

We do not need another Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter...  etc.  We need dreams.  Our own dreams, our very original and authentic dreams.

The most amazing and attractive part of the interview is about the book that she wrote in 2019 with 25 other kids at the library:

Kids Power Academy: Superheroes Assembly.

If you have not read it yet, please purpose one online or borrow one from the Richmond public library, under local author.
